Goodbye for Now...

I have used Blogger for quite some time now and I really don't have major complaints, I enjoyed posting and sharing my likes and interests. However, I am very concerned that my followers are not really increasing. Though I realize that MAYBE some people are visiting my blog regularly, they're just not publicly following me, I am still not sure if my stay here is even worthwhile.




So I decided to transfer my blog, at least for the meantime, to TUMBLR. I believe that more people are using Tumblr and I already exported my previous posts there. Lo and behold, I already have SEVEN followers in less than 30 minutes. That tickled me pink and sealed the deal.

I am not closing my doors to Blogger, though. I may still return depending on how my experience will turn out with Tumblr. I hope that I will still be welcome and my followers would still be here.

Goodbye to You

This happened to my cousin in 1994 who was 13 yrs old then.

He and his family used to live in Cavite City, Province of Cavite. Back then they lived in a dead end road which had a sharp turn into the main road.

Every day his dad's best friend would come over and play pool, but one night after he played pool like he always had, he left to go home. By the time he left it was about 11:30pm.

My cousin, whose bedroom was at the front of their house which faced the road, woke up to a sound of a car skidding around the front of their house, and he went to look out the window. He saw a car with no wheels and was smashed badly. The car stopped and a man stepped out of the car and came up close to his window and asked if my uncle was awake? He could not see his face because it was too dark. When he asked again if my uncle was awake he said "no he is not here he had to go somewhere". The man then asked him who was she home with and he told him that he was home with his mother and brothers and sisters. The man said to my cousin to tell my Dad that he had dropped by to say goodbye. The man then got back into the car without wheels that he came in and drove off.

The next morning my cousin told my uncle that a man had dropped by to say goodbye to him and he also told him that his car was smashed and had no wheels. My uncle asked him what time did he come by, and he told him it was around twelve midnight. My uncle went outside for a while and my aunt told my cousin that my uncles's best friend had died in a car accident at the sharp turn on their road the night before.

Time to Sleep: Thanks to the People

Before sleep overcomes me, I just want to say hello and greetings to the lovely people who have been visiting my blog. Don't forget to come back and please do leave a comment. I am extremely sad that one of my blog friends, Lori of Before the Stroke of Midnight has to say goodbye to blogworld because she has to terminate her internet connection, to cut down on her expenses. Actually, I can totally relate since my mother asked me if we can also have ours disconnected because not only do we have to pay the monthly bill for the internet connection, there's also the electricity bill that we have to consider. However, I adamantly refused since our internet connection is one of my only pleasures. I just told her that I would foot the bill (at least part of it) so we can continue with the service. Anyway, we have a contract for 12 months and its only been about 4 months since we had our connection.

How have you guys been faring with this recession? I hope you guys are coping well. Hopefully, this awful economic crisis will be over by 2010 so we could all relax again.

Okay, let me close this post on that hopeful note. I need to rest, take care and enjoy the site!

Goodbye, President Cory...

Our country has been grieving since last Saturday because of the passing away of our beloved former president, President Corazon "Cory" Aquino. I have never met her in person and I have only seen her on television and in magazines.

For me she is like a queen or the closest we have to a queen here in the Philippines. She is the first Asian president and she was the personification of Asian Woman Power in our country. She was always elegant, calm, and collected even though she has faced the toughest crisis any politician has to faced.

I am not a politically inclined person, in fact I avoid discussing it when I can. But when she died, I fully appreciated what she did for us Filipino people. She liberated us from a dictator and gave us democracy. She gave us freedom of speech. She gave justice to the oppressed.

Thank you, President Cory, for everything. May you have Everlasting Peace and Happiness with God. I hope the legacy you left with us will live forever in out hearts....
